Teresa Hurd, AIA, LEED AP
Principal, Senior Project Architect

“I take pride in working within the project budget to creatively provide solutions that result in buildings that perform, are maintainable in the long term and achieve the client’s functional and aesthetic goals.”

About Teresa

Not everyone knows what their life’s work will be by the time they are in the second grade, but Teresa knew. In high school, she took drafting instead of the typical classes that were more female oriented. After spending the first 10 years of her career in the commercial sector, she moved to healthcare. “After my first hospital project, I knew that this was where I belonged,” explains Teresa. She enjoys their technical difficulty and managing the process, bringing all of the pieces and parts together. But she also enjoys being a part of creating beautiful spaces that incorporate nature and promote healing. Teresa is passionate about continuing to improve and be better at what she does, as well as mentoring the next generation of healthcare architects.

With more than 31 years of industry experience, Teresa is known for her attention to detail, responsive client service and ability to collaborate with owners, contractors and the project team.
