Iain Macdonald

Iain Macdonald is a Principal and Future Energy Systems Development Lead at HKS. Passionate about humanizing technology, he gives equal weight to art and science throughout the design process. Confronting technological inequality and climate change, he has extensive experience planning, designing and delivering complex and innovative projects characterized by the transformative impact of new technologies on cities and infrastructure. He serves as Research Associate, Nuclear Science & Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and was previously Professor IUS, ArtEZ University, Arnhem, and Head of the School of Architecture at NTU.
