Join HKS at the 2022 ASHE PDC Summit

HKS’ sessions at the 2022 ASHE PDC International Summit on Health Facility Planning, Design and Construction will focus on the latest innovations in health care.

The conference will be held in New Orleans from March 20-23. It will bring together more than 2,000 health care and hospital facility leaders to learn about health care planning, design, and construction management.

HKS will be represented by four speakers covering a wide range of topics from NICU design to new models of care. We look forward to seeing you at the conference to exchange ideas and discuss new opportunities.

March 21 at 9:45 a.m. CDT: Impacts of the Variability of NICU Design

HKS Senior Medical Planners Mindy Goodroe and Colby Dearman will join Amanda Mewborn from Atruim Health to discuss how NICU design can improve patients’ physical, emotional, and social well-being. Speakers will share three planning models and their impact on family experience, infection control, pandemic readiness, staffing considerations, and the desire for socialization, privacy, and normalcy.

March 21 at 1:45 p.m. CDT: Sometimes There’s Nowhere Else to Go But Up!

HKS Senior Project Manager Matt Franklin will join other industry leaders from projects at VCU Health and Banner Health to share tips on how hospitals can remain fully operational during all phases of their expansion projects, including vertical expansions, and work around unique challenges that may develop.

March 23 at 8:30 a.m. CDT: Shifting Cultural Paradigms – A New Model of Care

HKS Senior Medical Planner Kate Renner will speak on a panel discussing how the Wonder Tower —Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU project leaned on an interprofessional care team model (ICTM), to design for the future of health care and increase long-term communication, collaboration, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.
