AIA Elevates HKS’ Julie Hiromoto to the 2021 College of Fellows

Elevation to the AIA College of Fellows is one of the highest honors an architect can attain, recognizing both personal achievements and contributions to society. In 2021, HKS Principal Julie Hiromoto, FAIA, joined this esteemed assembly.

Julie, a member of the Dallas AIA chapter, harnesses architecture’s power as a positive force to heal seemingly intractable social challenges. In her work across the profession, she creates a more environmentally and socially sustainable and evidence-based practice. Through her work as Chair of the AIA’s Committee on the Environment, or COTE®, she empowers practitioners to realize a resilient future, together. Julie is a catalyst for positive change, instilling an urgency to take action in our communities. A Principal and the Director of Integration at HKS, Julie’s approach aligns business needs, cultural context, and design excellence. She amplifies her knowledge by sharing it freely, through activism and leadership.
