As people re-inhabit spaces left vacant amid COVID-19, they will bring with them a heightened awareness of the cautionary measures being taken in each environment they encounter. It will be more important than ever to ensure guests feel safe and welcome from the moment they check in.
This document outlines our opinions for steps hotels should take now so that they can be prepared to provide guests with the same level of comfort and consistency they have grown to expect, while also prioritizing their safety and well-being. While we focus on strategies relevant to existing buildings, many of our recommendations can also be proactively applied during the design process.
