The Ashton’s below-grade garage supplements office parking while also respectfully limiting the tower massing to avoid blocking the views of the neighbors at 100 Congress.
The above-grade garage clad in regional Austin Chalk stone is complemented with metal accents and screening to limit views to the interior of the garage.
Playing off of the all-pink granite façade of 100 Congress, the Ashton design incorporates a brick color with granite accents at the base that fits well with the neighboring building.
Units were organized with a pleasing pattern of punch windows for the bedrooms and expansive glass in the living rooms. This pattern balanced the architecture vertically up the façade that culminated into a penthouse roof feature at the top. The gentle swoop of the roof provides a view west to the Austin Hill Country.
