A start-up founded in 2008, OneSource Virtual offers clients outsourcing services for employee information management and fulfillment services. OneSource’s pioneering business model has led to rapid growth, and by 2016, the company needed a larger space that reflects its innovative culture and brand. Opting to move to a single-tenant building, OneSource Virtual’s new 217,000 square foot headquarters enabled the company to imbed its core values into the design of its workplace, providing this successful startup with room to grow.
As OneSource’s CEO, Brian Williams, says, “Growth doesn’t scare me. Status quo does.” That’s why HKS adopted a fun, fresh and transparent approach to designing the new headquarters. New brand colors, environmental graphics and a dynamic open layout set the tone for collaboration and teamwork. A third-floor coffee and collaboration hub connects the upper and lower floors of the four-story building, acting as a social space. The hub features amenities such an espresso machines, a ping pong table and lounge seating, encouraging impromptu gatherings and offering employees choices about when and how to work.
OneSource strives to make its customers “raving fans”, and the design showcases the company’s suite of services. Built around a tour experience, visitors can view fulfillment services behind secure windows without compromising the high level of security that clients demand. The spacious lobby offers shared amenities such as self-serve food and coffee for customers and employees alike, as well as an assembly space for company announcements and events.
