The design is a result of an interpretation of the region’s architecture, its natural environment and its people. The 369,000-square-foot art center in downtown Orlando comprises three theaters – an 1,800-seat opera house/symphony hall, a 2,800-seat Broadway theater and a 300-seat community theater. The center also includes a banquet room with seating for up to 300, a 1,200-square-foot donor room and two large sponsor rooms off the main theater lobbies. The back-of-house functions include a full complement of performer support spaces as well as a rehearsal room, education program and administrative spaces. The project is registered under NC v2.2, and is seeking LEED certification.
