“The design and construction of a healthcare project is the work of many individuals with a common mission of providing a better environment for serving the community.”
With his 33 years of experience, Tom specializes in managing some of HKS’s largest healthcare projects. His keen project management skills were influenced by one of his college professors at Kansas State University. “Professor Brown taught design studio, but stressed to us the value of the technical reality of designing a structure that can be built efficiently and without compromise to the design,” recalls Tom. He grasped that knowledge and is now responsible for every aspect of a project from initial programming and design through construction completion. He works directly with each of his clients to establish project goals and maintains open communication throughout the project.
