“Our goal is to create environments that inspire and have a profound, memorable impression on the individuals who experience them. Our unique designs are developed to reinforce brands, provide operational efficiencies and be financially responsible to our owners while maintaining the integrity of the overall vision.”
“I didn’t choose architecture as my profession; it seems to be in my blood,” explains Mark, “My dad is an architect, and I have been surrounded by the profession my entire life.” Ironically, Mark changed his major to business while in school but was drawn back to architecture. That business background gave him the knowledge and insight to assist HKS in a variety of areas, including establishing our presence in the United Kingdom by opening the London office. He also has been responsible for several international projects in Mexico, Central America, the Middle East, India and the United Kingdom for commercial, mixed-use, residential and healthcare clients. For more than 17 years, Mark has led design teams for the delivery of office buildings, corporate relocations, consolidations and the repositioning of assets. He has a holistic approach to projects, beginning with the implementation of a workplace strategy reflective of a client’s business objective, and ending with a project’s measure of success. Mark believes a well-executed project is measured by how well it performs for his clients functionally, aesthetically and financially.
