“Architecture is a never ending journey: if you are willing to travel, explore, listen and learn, your design will always be actual, vibrant and inspirational.”
Luciano’s approach to design involves the creation of tailor-made contemporary design solutions that take into account the specific heritage and characteristics of each project and its site. The design begins to grow on the foundations of the physical and social context and then matures into something that extends and develops the client’s expectations beyond the original constraints.
Luciano began his professional career working in Italy, initially on residential, commercial and industrial projects and later on a series of hospitality, high-end residential projects. Luciano’s experience then widened considerably as he worked extensively in Sri Lanka with his own practice, where he was appointed architect for both the Italian and Vatican embassies. His work elsewhere in Southeast Asia involved high-end residential, hospitality and commercial developments. Since joining HKS, he has been responsible for hospitality sector developments from the London office, leading the design process of a number of luxury resorts.

DID YOU KNOW?
Luciano went to the Music Conservatory of Mantua, Italy, from the age of 8, studying piano and music composition for several years while doing his traditional studies in parallel at the local high school. Once he completed college, he decided to pursue a career in architecture, but music remains a great passion, and somehow it influences his approach to design.
