Erik Wood, AIA, LEED Green Assoc.
Associate Principal, New York Office Director

“We design today for multiple revenue streams over the next 30 years.”

Erik believes urban design is the highest form of architecture. In his work, he uses many of the same design principles used in organizing a house or an office building – just on a vastly larger scale. He balances open space and infrastructure costs with potential development revenues as key elements of city building. He is emboldened by ideas that will endure long after his years. Erik also appreciates the ways urban design speaks to a sense of belonging to something larger than oneself and can provide meaningful experiences for individuals and groups. “I’m motivated by the joy that results from thoughtful design,” Erik says. “And, I’m passionate about sharing a vision for future growth and having the client get it.”

Erik is an architect with significant experience in real estate development projects. For more than 20 years, he has helped corporations throughout the country successfully reposition property holdings to generate revenue.
