Eddie Abeyta, AIA, LEED AP
Principal, Dallas Commercial Design Director

“Architecture touches the everyday lives of people who surround it. It evokes, inspires and connects with people in ways that are tangible and intangible. It is both functional and poetic.”

About Eddie

Eddie is never far from a pencil and a sketchpad. He believes design is an interactive, hands-on, exploratory process. With a distinct style and architectural vernacular, he approaches each project differently, offering thoughtful and distinct design solutions. Whether he is designing a freestanding building that responds to a historical area or integrating a hotel with an airport – which hosts myriad security issues – Eddie creates distinct facilities that best reflect their communities. Clients see their visions come to life by participating with Eddie and his team in interactive design charrettes that render solutions in real time. “I become immersed in design seeking inventive, creative solutions,” he explains. “In addition to sketching, sculpting a project – using foam core or chipboard – allows me to see things in a new light.” His passion for architecture is exemplified through his diverse portfolio of award-winning projects ranging from high-rise urban settings to residential spaces to luxury resorts.
