Don Harrier, AIA, CDS, LEED AP
Principal, San Francisco Office Director

“Sun, breezes, views, access to the outdoors and incorporating natural building materials all play a meaningful role in how I approach my work.”

About Don

In his 32-year career in architecture; project management and project delivery; business development and marketing hotels, resorts and resort/residential projects, Don has engaged personally with clients, infusing sincerity and creativity into every aspect of the design process. His leadership ability to direct various HKS team members, consultants and stakeholders translates to on-time, on-budget project delivery.

“My early impressions of a fulfilling lifestyle were viewed through the lens of how buildings and the natural environment intertwine and provide a meaningful experience for people,” Don says. Applying his experiences from his youth to his architectural studies and professional career, Don has long appreciated the interplay between nature and design, no matter the building type or location.
