“I believe that architecture is, at its very heart, an essential profession. As an architect, my knowledge, experience, ideas and opinions must serve the client’s needs.”
About Chris
Chris’ love of architecture began around the age of 12. After visiting the enormous U.S. Steel Building construction site in Pittsburgh as a seventh grader, he could think of nothing more exciting than learning how to do what seemed impossible – bringing a building to life from the ground up. After that, there was no “Plan B.” Chris especially enjoys the world of science and technology design because he loves the challenge of the technical complexity. San Diego has proven to be the perfect place for him as it has become a center for both private and public technology research and development.
Chris has more than 37 years of experience working in San Diego and across Southern California. He works with engineers, scientists and educators who are leaders in their respective fields, using critical thinking to create design solutions primarily for science and technology, higher education and institutional clients.

Did You Know?
While in college, Chris studied industrial design in Italy and at one point, even considered furniture design as a career. He continues to design and construct furniture in his home workshop. Because industrial design focuses on ideas, concepts, products and processes, the similarity to science and technology projects is rather obvious. What Chris enjoys at work and for pleasure are not far apart, and he’s okay with that.
