Each year, Building Design+Construction (BD+C) selects 40 individuals who have distinguished themselves by their career achievements, service to their professions and communities, and active participation in charitable work, representing the next generation of leadership in the AEC industry.

Torres-Ruiz is passionate about providing creative healthcare planning solutions to her international clients, while interweaving unique cultural and practice distinctions. She provides leadership and client relationship management for projects in Mexico and Central America.  Torres-Ruiz has more than more than 13 years of experience in all phases of architecture, completing medical planning and project coordination in 11 countries including United States, Bulgaria, China, India, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, Panama, Chile, Peru and Trinidad & Tobago.
