HKS, the international design firm, announced today that Executive Vice President Nunzio DeSantis is leaving HKS to start his own hospitality practice.
DeSantis has been with the firm for 34 years and served as a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and leader of the hospitality group. Under his leadership, HKS designed many of the world’s finest hotels and resorts.
“Nunzio has been a very important member of our team,” said President and CEO Dan Noble. “We are sorry to see him go, but we support his decision and wish him all the best in his new venture. He has built an amazing team of very talented people here at HKS who will continue to serve our hospitality clients with the same dedication to quality design and performance.
HKS’ hospitality group will be led by an international executive committee chaired by Don Harrier and Luis Zapiain. The firm has a portfolio of more than 87 million square feet of completed hotels and resorts located in 53 countries. Properties range from ultra-luxury boutique hotels to top-performing convention hotels and resort properties.
