Chris Knell, AIA, LEED AP, has joined HKS as associate principal, Western Region Science & Technology practice leader and San Diego office director. 

“I’m looking forward to adding my skills and expertise to HKS’ growing Science & Technology (S&T) practice. I am grateful to be part of a culture that values my knowledge, experience, ideas and opinions,” said Knell. 

Knell has more than 36 years of experience working in San Diego and across Southern California, with engineers, scientists and educators who are leaders in their respective fields, using critical thinking to create design solutions for science and technology, higher education, corporate and commercial, and institutional projects. His skills include leadership, design, project management, production and planning. As a practice leader, he has overall accountability for the success of the S&T projects in his region.
