In January 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 took off from New York’s LaGuardia Airport en route to Charlotte, N.C. Within minutes a double bird strike destroyed both engines, and the pilot made the terrifying decision to ditch the Airbus A320 into the Hudson River. I was one of the passengers on that fateful flight. Hear about the practical life lessons I learned that day.
