Francis Gallagher – managing director of HKS’ London office, responsible for Europe and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region – is a featured speaker for the healthcare panel discussions at the fifth global Leaders in Design MENA. The well-known event, organised by the International Business Council in Dubai and held this year 15-16 November, gathers leading interior design professionals from the region.
As the firm’s architectural and strategic leader for Europe and the MENA region, Gallagher’s main focus is healthcare, education and commercial projects. During his career, he has been directly involved in the design and development of over 1 million square meters of landmark projects around the world.
"The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region has an enormous potential, attracting capital from all over the world due to its natural resources and geographical importance,” notes Gallagher.
“Our longstanding presence and varied experience in the region – particularly in healthcare, hospitality and sports – has enabled us to build a substantial track record of delivering projects for achieving sustainable change. We are currently providing full architectural services for numerous healthcare projects in the region, and we are licensed in Abu Dhabi, UAE, as well as registered with the Abu Dhabi Health Authority – SEHA. King Fahad Medical City (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 127,277-square-meter campus expansion), King Hussein Cancer Center (Amman, Jordan, 51,097 square meters), Jazan General Hospital (Jazan, Saudi Arabia, 2.16 million square meters), King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 132,000 square meters) and Kuwait Children’s Hospital (Kuwait, 300,000 square meters) are some of the landmark healthcare projects we are presently working on in the region,” Gallagher explained.
″For many years now, Leaders in Design MENA has been a forum for the region’s driving elite of the real estate industry to connect with new potential business partners and develop valuable relationships. It is a great opportunity to share our vast experience with other professionals, as well as take the pulse of the region,” Gallagher added.
