This semester some middle schoolers at Highland Park Middle School (HPMS) will be learning about the world of architecture. HPMS conducts what they call “Spark” classes in which students pick a subject they find interesting and want to learn more about. One of the Spark classes is on architecture. In support of this unique learning opportunity, HKS sponsored kits for the students which included trace paper, pens, and scales. And, the students will have a chance to earn four mini-HKS monographs throughout the course of the class. As the semester progresses we’ll be getting updates on their progress, and we’ll share it with you as we hear how they are doing in their discovery of the world of architecture.
