If you have a little time in your life or are looking for another creative outlet, you should visit the Creative Arts Center of Dallas! I arrived for the first time last Thursday to help paint bowls to donate to the Empty Bowls event and was impressed by the variety of art classes under one roof and the enthusiasm of those engaged in the classes/workshops. On November 15, 2009, several members of the HKS Detroit Polish Cultural and Social Club met in an undisclosed location to prepare Grandma’s infamous traditional Polish Culinary Recipes for an event of high expectations and celebrations. Bob Piatek, the ring leader, Bill Filip, Vince Czarnowski, Christopher Ozog, David Taylor (The adopted Pole), and John Avdoulos (AKA the long lost Greek Pole), decided to carry on a tradition from last year providing a Polish meal to share with the office what many of us have grown up knowing to love (and our waist lines prove it).
